"Wish Upon Evil"

Films: Wishmaster (1997), Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999), Wishmaster 3: Beyond the Gates of Hell (2000), Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled (2002)

Alias: Nathaniel Demarest, Professor Joel Barash, Steven Verdel

Type: Mystical

Location: Eldritch location/Civilized Area/Haunted home

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: The phrase "be careful what you wish for" wasn't invented by accident. Wishes have been a constant cautionary tale over the centuries, warning people to mince their words carefully, otherwise their wishes will backfire. No one is better than exploiting this than the dreaded Djinn.

History: The Djinn are a race of demonic beings incapable of anything but wanton evil and chaos. Their primary way of going about it is to tempt people into asking them for wishes, which they grant in horrific and unexpected ways. If one person ever makes three wishes in a row, the Djinn will rise as a whole and destroy the Earth. One particular Djinn has been persistent in the modern day, often being freed due to human recklessness. And even centuries of dormancy have not dulled his powers at all.

Notable Kills: Want to be beautiful forever? He turns you into a sapient mannequin. Wish you were never born? He de-ages you into nothingness. Want to "walk right through the bars"? He'll force you through until your body is crushed. Want to lose some weight? He makes you puke your guts out. Want a place to hide? He stuffs your head into a place full of hungry rats. But really, he's at his best when you ask him to spice up a party. Then you have inanimate objects killing everyone, people graphically turning into monsters, swarms of carnivorous insects, and all sorts of chaos.

Final Fate: Every time the Djinn tries to enact Armageddon, he is thwarted and sent back to his jewel prison. His defeats range from a clever wish that makes it so that he never got released, to getting stabbed (twice) by an Angel's sword.

Powers/Abilities: Djinn can warp and manipulate reality solely based on a person's words. That said, they find themselves frustrated at having to rely on just that.

Weakness: Some guile thinking regarding wishes, and Angelic weapons.

Scariness Factor: 4.5-Aside from sporting a wickedly cool true form, the Djinn is what happens when you anthropomorphize the Monkey's Paw (minus all the hypothetical hair of course). Every wish is a death sentence one way or another, and you don't even have to directly tell him that you wish anything. He just needs to hear something resembling a request, and the horror can begin.

Trivia: -In true Arabic mythology, the Djinn aren't entirely evil. They are just as morally varied as the humans who summon them. With that said, their closest relatives tend to be demons, the only thing separating them being their varied morality.

-There are many classes of Djinn, but the one that is most consistently evil are the Ifrit. These Djinn are often described as fiery Hell-born death spirits drawn to murder victims.

Those eyes are like 'We're doing this again?'

Dear God, what happened to your face?!

FBI, converge on his location now!
Money or death? You'd be surprised which option is picked more.

He's actually the one that's better dressed for here.
